A SEASON OF PLENTY

This week we enjoyed a special Autumnal Equinox celebration! We may not yet feel the usual crispness in the air that fall brings here in NC, but I am still anticipating the mesmerizing spell that the season of bounty bestows every year. Something about this time of year invigorates my will to create and to tune in and take pleasure in all that is around me. The harvest season is a time to gather. To count the small gifts in your life and relish in the abundance they carry. It is a time to re-center with our souls and nurture our true selves. As we transition from warm summer days to the comfort and warmth felt in
sitting with friends around a fire
 cozy sweaters
fuzzy socks
hot coffee
changing leaves

allow your mind to linger on beauty. Let the season of plenty encourage motivation to rise within you.

SEEKING THE SUN

"Seeking the Sun"
24x30 - Acrylic on Canvas

One beautiful thing about the act of creating is that it forces us to slow down. It requires us to examine closely the small blessings that are all around us. When we make it a purpose to seek out the things that bring light into our lives, we effortlessly shift into an abundance mindset. Instead of being preoccupied with everything that is lacking in our lives, we can turn our gaze to the 'roses' (or in my case, sunflowers!).

Take a moment today to breathe deeply, to notice - maybe you will open your mind to a new source of inspiration.

CREATE . DISCOVER . GROW

Welcome to the MUSE STUDIO blog site!

I am so excited to be able to launch this outlet where the Muse voice can be discovered (and within days of my own birthday no less)!

Soon this site will be serving up opportunities for art class enrollment, original artwork sales, and many tips and tricks to help inspire creativity along the way. But first, I want to take time to find some clarity and set an intention (please take a moment to visit the goddess Christine Kane for more in depth "intention setting" discussion).

Art binds us. It is paramount in this day and age of virtual everything and cut throat competition that we find an channel that enables us to awaken a sense of value in camaraderie, cultivate a new skill, and unlock the mystery of "who am I?". Engaging in "art play" allows self-expression, which leads to self-discovery. It refreshes our vision of the world, how it works and our place in it.

Muse exists to nurture an environment where the passion to create is allowed to flourish. Art is illuminative. If you are someone who is not interested in tapping into your right-brain and delighting in being a part of creating something beautiful, then Muse is not for you. On the other hand, if the opportunity to empower your inner artist excites you, join me. Break away from the norm of left-brain domination. Allow yourself to think freely and discover the light of your inner artist. It's sure to be a fun ride!
